Welcome back to your journey of building a better marriage, one step and one day at a time.

Whether you're sipping your latte, reheating your tea, or setting the pace for the day, let's chat about intimacy beyond the physical.

Intimacy beyond the physical encompasses an emotional connection, spiritual closeness, and a deep understanding with your spouse.

When you exchanged vows, it wasn't about losing yourself but rather embracing a commitment to love deeply and honor each other through all circumstances.

True intimacy requires vulnerability, the willingness to open your heart and share your innermost thoughts, fears, and dreams with your spouse. Embrace vulnerability as a pathway to deeper connection, trust, and emotional intimacy in your marriage.

First, it's important to recognize that vulnerability requires courage. It takes courage to be open and honest about one's thoughts, feelings, and fears, especially when one fears rejection or judgment from one's partner.

Second, practice active listening and empathy. Listen with an open heart and mind when your spouse shares something vulnerable with you. Show empathy and understanding and avoid jumping to conclusions or offering unsolicited advice.

Third, create a safe space for vulnerability in your relationship. Make it clear to your spouse that they can trust you with their deepest thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or criticism. Encourage an environment of acceptance and support where both of you feel comfortable being your authentic selves.

Be willing to reciprocate vulnerability. Vulnerability is a two-way street, and it's important for both of you to be willing to open up and share your innermost thoughts and feelings with each other.

By embracing vulnerability as a pathway to deeper connection, trust, and emotional intimacy in your marriage, you can strengthen your bond and create a relationship built on honesty, authenticity, and love.

Commit to doing one of these with your spouse today and watch how God shows up for you to have the marriage you've always dreamed of having.

You can do this! We are called to "Love one another deeply, from the heart." - 1 Peter 1:22!

With love and blessings-
