Hi, I’m Rev. Dr. Deborah Skomba.
There was a time when I saw so many women and couples quietly hurting—loving each other, yet feeling stuck, disconnected, and unsure how to find their way back.
I remember asking the Lord, “How can I help them heal?”
That is when He led me to this Scripture, which became the foundation of my calling: Isaiah 61:1–3, to bring good news to the hurting, to comfort those who are brokenhearted, and to give beauty for ashes.
That calling is what led me to create Heart to Heart Ministry NJ, Inc., a place where couples can slow down, feel safe, and begin again. Through the H.E.A.R.T. Power Tools, Healing, Empathy, Authenticity, Reflection, and Trust, I help you understand what is in need of healing in your relationship and give you simple, practical steps to rebuild trust, improve communication, and restore peace in your home.
With over 42 years of marriage and 15+ years of coaching and counseling, I do not just teach this—I have lived it. I would be honored to walk beside you as you heal, grow, and build the Christ-centered marriage God designed for you.
At the core of my work is a mission: To create a safe, grace-filled space where hearts can heal, relationships can be restored, and faith can deepen.
I believe every person and every marriage has a redemptive story—one that can be rewritten by God’s truth, love, and wisdom. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but it can happen—with the right tools, support, and spiritual foundation.
My sessions are not clinical—they’re conversational and compassionate. I combine biblical counseling with emotionally healthy, actionable tools to meet you where you are and walk with you toward healing and clarity.
