Have you ever reached that moment where it feels like there’s nothing left in your love tank? You’ve given all you can to your family, work, and faith—but now you’re standing empty. It’s like you’ve poured every last drop of energy, patience, and love into others; there’s nothing left for yourself.

I’ve been there too. And if we’re honest, it’s a place most of us will visit more than once in our lives. But the beauty of reaching the end of ourselves is that it’s exactly where we can begin to experience the fullness of God.

  1. God Sees You in Your Emptiness

God is never unaware of our struggles. When we feel like we’re collapsing under the weight of life, He sees us. And not only does He see us, but He offers us His strength to carry us through. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." When you’re at your lowest, His arms are always open, ready to lift you up.

  1. Embracing God’s Strength

When we feel empty, it’s a signal that it’s time to stop relying on our strength and start leaning on God’s. It’s in our weakness that His strength shines through. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that those who put their hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar like eagles, run without growing weary, and walk without fainting. It’s a powerful promise for us to hold onto when we feel like we can’t take another step.

  1. Trusting God with Your Limits

Often, the hardest part of feeling empty is admitting that we can’t do it all. But God never intended for us to. Trusting God means recognizing that it’s okay to pause, rest, and recharge. God works in the waiting, in the stillness, and even in our moments of surrender. It’s when we give our exhaustion to Him that we allow Him to renew us from the inside out.

If you’re feeling empty today, know that you don’t have to stay that way. God is ready to fill you up, empower you, and give you the strength you need to keep going. You are not alone—His grace is more than enough for you.

Stay encouraged, and trust that in your emptiness, God’s power is made perfect.

Heartfully,

Deborah
