In today’s culture, everyone seems to be chasing the title of “influencer.” Social media has made it easy to gain followers, share opinions, and build a platform—but as people of faith, we need to ask a deeper question:

Am I influencing God’s kingdom, or am I being influenced by the world?

Jeremiah 15:19 offers a powerful charge:

“If you return to me, I will restore you so you can continue to serve me. If you speak good words rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. You must influence them; do not let them influence you.”

Let that settle in your spirit. God isn’t calling us to blend in. He’s calling us to lead with light.

Here are 3 ways to be a Godly Influencer:

1. Return to God First

The first part of the verse gives us the foundation:

“If you return to me, I will restore you…”

Before you post, speak, or lead—return. Come back to the One who called you. You can’t influence the Kingdom if you’re running on empty or walking in compromise. Restoration always begins with realignment.

2. Speak What Matters

The next instruction is simple but sharp:

“Speak good words rather than worthless ones.”

We don’t need more noise—we need truth.
Speak life over your marriage, your children, and your calling. Let your words reflect the Word. In a world hungry for validation, God is looking for women who will speak His truth with love.

3. Be the Influencer, Not the Influenced

This is the line that gets me every time:

“You must influence them; do not let them influence you.”

It’s a command, not a suggestion.

Too many women are being shaped by comparison, trends, and culture-driven expectations.

But godly influence looks very different from worldly influence:

Godly Influence Worldly Influence
Driven by calling and obedience Driven by fame and approval
Anchored in truth Shaped by trends
Aims to glorify God Aims to glorify self
Leads others to Christ Leads others to culture

God is calling you to stand out, not fit in. To speak truth, not just trends. To influence others with grace and conviction, not to be influenced by pressure or popularity.

You may never have a million followers—but if you’re faithful with the influence God’s given you, you’re already walking in purpose.

This Week’s Challenge:

📝 Reflect on this question: “Where am I being influenced more than I’m influencing?”
🕊️ Pray for boldness to stand for truth, even when it’s unpopular.
📖 Read Jeremiah 15:19 and ask God to show you where to return, what to speak, and how to lead.
